Consumer Law
Consumer rights are safeguarded by the Consumer Protection Act, which establishes various forums to address consumer disputes. If a consumer proves their case, they may receive compensation.
At the district level, the Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum (CDRF) handles these disputes. For appeals or cases involving specific monetary limits, consumers can approach the State Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum (SCDRF) or the State Commission. At the national level, the National Consumer Dispute Redressal Forum (NCDRF) or National Commission serves as an appellate authority for cases from the State Commission.

Consumers can bring their grievances directly to these consumer forums without needing a lawyer. To qualify under the Consumer Protection Act, it is essential to show that you fit the definition of a consumer, meaning you have received goods or services from the party you are complaining against.
Companies, firms, or individuals can be held accountable for unfair trade practices or service deficiencies. If the forum agrees with your case, you may be awarded compensation.
Our team of consumer lawyers advocates for consumer rights. If a consumer acts with dishonest intent to harass or extort money from a business or individual, we also defend the rights of those companies, firms, or individuals.
